Monsterrando 2026: the 5th edition presented at Fondazione CR Alessandria

The official press conference presenting Monsterrando 2026 took place today in the prestigious setting of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria. Scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, the event stands out as one of the most anticipated on the UCI Gravel international calendar, combining high-level competitive racing with the tourist and landscape promotion of the Monferrato region.

Welcoming the attendees was the President of Fondazione CR Alessandria, Paolo Arrobbio, who expressed great enthusiasm for the continuous growth of the event—a project strongly supported by the foundation due to its significant local impact. Alongside him were Lino Pettazzi, Mayor of Fubine Monferrato (the lead municipality of the initiative), the Mayors of the other 8 partner municipalities (Quattordio, Cerro Tanaro, Rocchetta Tanaro, Masio, Altavilla Monferrato, Vignale Monferrato, Camagna Monferrato, and Lu e Cuccaro Monferrato), and the race organizers, Gianni Pederzolli and Riccardo Revello.

Among the major highlights of this edition—featuring two UCI competitive courses and the new non-competitive Monsterrando Randonnée Tourist Ride—is a refreshed brand image. The rebranding project, new visual identity, and communication plan were entrusted to the agency AT Media, represented at the conference by CEO Antonio Testa and Creative Director Alberto Viarengo.

Monsterrando 2026 is once again set to put on a great show, made possible by the vital synergy between local institutions—starting with Fondazione CR Alessandria, alongside the Piedmont Region, Fondazione CR Asti, the Provinces of Alessandria and Asti, and the local municipalities—as well as the invaluable support of corporate partners, led by main sponsor IREN.
